[edit] Open Bugs/Issues

  1. I tried today to submit a document with multiple attachments. I thought the system would produce a page that links to both documents. Instead it duplicated the entry (description, etc) for each document. But the "PDF" link in the top right hand of the detail entries both link to the first document. The second document can only be found by clicking on the "PDF" link in the right hand of the document index page. This is very counter-intuitive. Hopefully a multiple attachment entry can create just one entry in the database, that when looked at in detail includes links to multiple documents in the text - perhaps just below or above the description. (26 June 2007 - bwp)
  2. I noticed that when clicking on the campaign banner, the horizontal navigation menu switches to Spanish. (11 July 2007)
    1. Possible Solution: when linking to ifiwatchnet.org site skip the two letter language code from the URL. E.g. the address http://www.ifiwatchnet.org/?q=en/node/2426 should be linked as http://www.ifiwatchnet.org/?q=node/2426 That way the language selected by the user is not changed when following the link.
  3. A bit strange- if I change the month on the calendar to June and select a date, it distorts the site. But it only seems to be for that specific month... (18 July 2007)
  4. Mailto link on this page (http://www.ifiwatchnet.org/?q=en/documents) under "Submit a document" is incorrect. In fact I would suggest that this whole section be changed to direct users to a membership form so that they can join IFIwatchnet and then add their own document. (19 July 2007 - pchowla)
  5. Also when writing/editing the text of a blog post I have trouble deleting things. Maybe it is my Firefox browser... But when I am editing I can use the backspace key to delete letter but not spaces. And the delete key will only work on spaces but not letters. Very odd. (19 July 2007 - pchowla)
  6. Comment Spam: The level of comment spam has become prohibitively large and needs extra functionality or comment authorization. (August 19th Arturo)
    1. Possible solutions: Drupal has the following modules that can be installed. Arturo and Ernesto are investigating: http://drupal.org/project/spam, http://drupal.org/project/akismet
  7. Blog links: There seem to be two different links for each blog which is confusing. Also one of them produces a less than ideal result. Using IMFleadership as an example. The following two links access the blog: http://www.ifiwatchnet.org/?q=en/featured_blog/336 and http://www.ifiwatchnet.org/?q=en/taxonomy/term/336. The second one gives a very ugly index that is sorted in the wrong order (it has oldest posts first). The problem is that when you click the title of a blog from the first line of a blog post you get the second and not the first! (For an example view the full text of any blog post and the linked text "IMF leadership selection process" is there on the first line) Can we switch the link to the blog topic in the full text view of a blog post to point to the first style link and not the second style link? (Sept 20 Peter Chowla)

  1. Finally - I noticed that if I copy and paste into a description field of the create document page, it often comes with "div /div" tags. But this means that the abostract function for showing the first few lines does not work! Is there a way to make it work even if there is "div" code. Because copying from MS Word often gives that kind of garbage. (19 July 2007 - pchowla)
    1. Solution: Copy text from MS Word into notepad before copying into the wiki is the only reliable solution I have found to removing "div" code. Anything else, given the current state of wiki functionality involves some sort of trade-off.
  2. BIC reported a problem with calendar feeds displaying in their webpage. The problem was originated in corrupt code inside Drupal RSS feeds for the calendar section, and was fixed. (July 16th, 2007 Karen Showalter and James Taylor at )
